Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
I will start my new log out by listing some goals and changes. I am unsure when my next meet will be. I have to see about a few things first. I just know I am going to go forward and push my lifts up.
Goals next meet I do will be:
Squat- I want to be taking 800 on my second attempt and around 825 on third. Pretty much just stay the course, everything is paying off on squat.
Bench- Push it to the 500 mark. To do this, I need to stick with the plan and work my bench setup. Going to try and make it to Westside for some help on this.
Deadlift- 800 plus! Strength is there for that right now. Things I am doing are paying off. For the changes....I am going to be doing a lot of grip work, and things to make my hands tough so my hand doesn't tear. Louie has some things he wanted me to do and I will go there to have some help on this as well.
Total-push towards the 2100 mark. This is raw of course. There's the goals, now I need to make it a reality!
6/9/10 shoulder horn stretching light bis and shoulders
bp with foam 225x5 275x8 315x8
3 bd 315x10
pushdowns-3 sets
Just a light session and worked on setup.

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
6/14/10 Front squats with zercher harness. Raw and no belt 415x2 505x2 555x1 was going to do 2 but I damn near passed out setting up on the first one. Got tight and it was fuckin hot in the gym.
pin pulls below the knees and standing on foam. Raw and no belt 405x3 495x3 585x3 675x1 725x1 I was working a different grip, setting it further back in my hands. The problem was our bar is slick and my hands sweating so much the chalk was putty. I think the grip is going to help. For some reason pin pulls are harder for me to hold onto.....anyway
took foam away....regular pin pulls below knees. Belt and straps added 815x1 900x1 PR!! I have a vid I will put up at some point when I get a cord for cam and time. This was a 40 lb pr after a lot of crap. My grip/callus issue will come...just a matter of time.
I will probably not lift next week, I will be out of town. So, I just went with it today. Deload will be needed soon.
Thanks to Brandon for helping me with the grip change tonight. I really feel this will help solve my problem in time.

6/16/10 bp-worked up to 385x5 pushdowns- 3 sets
Got in the gym late from my new job. I felt like everything weighed a ton. So, I took it easy. I did mess with a few setups on bench. Nothing quite feels right. Really could use some help. I also feel I was flat for some odd reason, I am thinking I did something on Monday. haha.

6/18/10 Squats Raw and no belt. 415x2 505x2 555x5 Real easy...probably had 10 but not pushing it tonight.
safety bar good mornings-4 sets jogged. Got a good quick session in. Worked late, so missed squatting with the guys. Saw Keith's last pin pull. Good strong pr for him.

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
6/23/10 bp 405x1 felt pec a bit and shut it down.
deadlift no belt 605x1 This was just a real quick session...had very little time. Basically, i slapped the weights on there and went. I was in Pittsburgh from Monday Morning, til traveled all day Friday to make it just in time for training @GSB. I trained at a gym in Pittsburgh. Worst experience of my life. Will not discuss, but those in the know, realize what is up.
6/25/10 safety bar squat 425x2
briefs and belt added 425x2 515x2 605x2 695x2
pin 2 deadlift (Plates 6" off ground) with double greens...about 150 lb carrover. 225x3 315x3 495x3 belt on 585x1 added straps 655x3 pr.
The new grip is helping a lot. The bands make it harder to grip along with shitty bar. That being said, I still have some work to do. I got a good session in despite having dead legs from driving all day.
My plans right now are to do the pro/am and wear some gear. Not sure what I will wear as I am gear limited. Joey Smith is helping me with a shirt that he is sending me. Got to figured out some briefs and suit to wear.

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
6/27/10 3 bd 315x3 405x3
karins double denim on 495x1 545x1 635x1 700x1 750x1 Pretty easy press. 835 is my all time record when I was closing in on 800. 800 was there today, so not bad for the first time in back in shirt in forever. I will work down on boards from here. Acclimating the CNS is the key.
4 bd w/ double monster minis...shirt off. 315x3 starting to feell pec, so shut it down.
face pulls- 3 sets
light bis, shoulders and shoulder horn before work sets.
As I stated, I am planning on the pro am with gear and also looking to do Raw SPF Nats in Oct in Nashville 6 weeks later. Would love to do the 504 in Louisanna but, I don't know if I will be able to. So, those are my planned meets at this time.

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
7/2/10 squats with 230 lbs of chain...off floor at lockout. briefs and belt 325x2 suit straps down 415x2 straps up 505x1 595x1 685x1 735 3 sets of 1
sumo deadlifts w briefs and belt 585x1 675x1 765xnear miss. Too far forward...form was awful, I hate sumo deadlifts.
First time doing suit work in a few years. The briefs are like shorts, and the suit is really big too. Need at least 1 size down, but it's what I have to use. Felt a little awkward but that's to be expected. I just tried to go through my steps. I am surprised I could do the bar today. Worked all day in Pittsburgh until 8:30 pm. Left and drove home. I got home at 4:30 am, got about an hour of sleep and was up all day. I drug myself to the gym. Feel awful, and could not conjure up much intensity in the gym. Oh well, I am done with the traveling for a while. Going to deload on lower next week, to heal up a bit.

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
Update....I am now doing the RAW 504 meet in Lousiana. The reason, it is a good pay with top competitors. It is my type of meet, all raw, no knee wraps and walked out squats. Training is going great for squat and deadlift. Bench is a process. I am changing form. For deadlift, my grip is coming around. Pulled 815 raw with straps on Monday. It was no problem, I walked over without getting psyched and pulled. Stregth for 835 is there....just gotta keep working grip. A few vids... 815 deadlift http://www.youtube.com/220pd4pd#p/a/u/1/zLknqTgRoEYSecond set of Olympic Squats..did 9 first set. Made me sore til Monday when I pulled the 815. http://www.youtube.com/220pd4pd#p/a/u/0/_7wHdMfD2v0

Re: Hulk's Road to putting it all together!!!
Wanted to also say my goals. They change as no knee wraps...I am cuting up and going to make a run @220. The goal is 2k, via 750, 470, and 800. I want the squat record, total record and the win. There you go. I am more motivated then I have been! Someone at 220 will eat his fuckin words!
