Post Re: New Cycle
Thanks Matt. I came in and did what I expected of myself. Very good night. My speed on the deadlifts was better then it has ever been in a while. Everything felt really light. and like a tooth pick...I was just gassed after the squat. Today I feel like I was ran over by an 18 wheeler. I busted some blood vessels in my face too. I love it!!! Feeling very confident about the meet. A deload is really going to do me some good!

Boring day. My shoulders and elbows are killing me! I felt horrible! The squatting on friday really jacked them up. You can see on my 3 board that my left was dragging bad. I am good shape though. With flush work until my meet in 17 days, I will hit a good pr on bench...though I still am a shitty bencher. I have improved, so I will keep battling.

This is a great vid. If you don't like it well....

I get teared up and have goosebumps on stuff like this. I don't like the underdog. I want to see greatness and that is what inspires me. When I saw Fernando Vargas, take an absolute beating in the first round, against Felix Trinidad years back and saw him come back and have Trinidad on the ropes before finally getting knocked out....no words can describe the absolute desire and heart he showed. I was tearing up after that fight. I still do. Just thought I would share.

Meet-3/27/10

Just want to say first that I was very proud of my team for their efforts today. We got our 5th Elite member today...Matt Sutton. Great job and congrats to him.

Squat-
Warmups to 600.
First Att-680 3 whites. Easy as a opener should be.
Second att-750 3 whites. Pr. Not bad at all.
Third-775 Missed. No excuse for missing. I played it conservative but just got a little too amped and did not set the weight.

Bench-
Warmups to 365
First Att-430 3 Whites. Pretty easy.
Second Att-460 3 whites Pr. Decided to skip third...didn't have much left.

Deadlift-
Warmups to 605
First Attempt-710 3 whites...really fast and easy.
Second Attempt-760 Missed...at very top bar tore callous.
Third Attempt-760 Missed at very top again. Tried to position bar back in hand because of my ripped hand but....

1920 Raw Total @242.

Dissapointed with the deadlift. Our bar suck and has no knurling. When I get to meet the bar rips my hands. Easily fixable with a deadlift bar. The strength was there for over 800 today. No excuses...it will be fixed!

You had a great meet Adam, I know some of the numbers didn't end up where you wanted them, but things happen, and you are capable, it just gives your more room to add more weight to your total next go around. Still a great total. Hell of a job.

Thanks guys for the kind words. No problem at all Davey! Glad to help. Not really a grip issue is it is a girly soft hand. Lol. I will fix it. 800 plus was there...so, it is encouring and gets me pissed a bit. Just motivation!

Here is Vid.
