 cambered bar box squat
came in this morning with the intention of only helping evan. didn't want to do any work so that i could let the bicep heal. as it sometimes goes i got under the cambered bar in the monolift and did a couple of sets with the bar. then i added a couple of plates, and then some more.
cambered bar box squats in jeans and work boots 14.5" box with 4" foam
5x135 5x225 5x315 2x405 this bar swings and if i could have kept it in line i would have got more reps
stiff leg dl off 1.5" matt 8x135 8x225 felt this in my left bi and decided i should stop.

 Re: cambered bar box squat
Your squats looked good to just jump in raw and throw on some weight. I can really tell a whole hell of a lot of difference between form now that we have moved the monolift to a level spot. You looked very upright and while you still wanted to come up a little rounded, you still kept a much higher chest than you usually do. Nice job! I don't have a solution for the biceps other than having a chat with Michael Hope. You might want to do what I did when I had a cracked rib and just ace wrap the shit out of it and go on. It's either going to get better, or not. I suppose it comes down to how you feel and what someone like Michael says. Good job, brother!

 Re: cambered bar box squat
thanks.... the squats felt good and with a straight bar or more work with the cambered bar i could do better keeping the head and chest up. you are right though, that spot is perfect for the monolift.
as far as the bicep goes.... this was totaly unexpected. it had been much better and i was actually using heavier weights on my curling movements. the soreness that occured from the the squats last week was normal, no different from the rear delt sorness i get from heavy squats. it seems like a bad pull. the decision friday was tough. i could have put some linament on and elbow sleeve and went on with it. i'm afraid this decision would have set my training back by weeks. as we discussed this morning, the strongman training uses a lot of bicep. the goal now is to get healed get the bi's stronger and get ready for june.
